Google's Gemini AI chatbot has been updated to simplify image sharing for Android users. With the new version (v1.0.668480831), users can now share images directly from various apps, including Google Photos, into the Gemini app, reducing the complexity of the previous method. This feature currently supports only images, with links and text sharing not available. The update is being gradually rolled out and aims to improve user experience by streamlining workflows and reducing the need for navigating through multiple steps. However, shared images currently open in the full Gemini app, which may disrupt the user experience for those who prefer the overlay interface.
