They have a 57-degree field of view, covering up to 95% of the focused viewing area, but the resolution is capped at 1080p. A now-removed webpage suggested a launch in the first half of 2026, with a price range similar to current Xreal glasses, which start at 9.

These glasses are part of a developer kit for Android developers. Google aims to integrate these devices with Android phones and smartwatches by 2026. The strategy for AI glasses includes two types: one focusing on audio and camera features, and another incorporating a display for visual cues. Developer Preview 3 of the Android XR SDK is set to launch soon, supporting a wide range of existing third-party Android apps. The glasses can display navigation routes and driver information for Uber rides. Gemini, the assistant, provides contextual information immediately upon wearing the glasses. The Samsung Galaxy XR headset has new features like PC Connect and travel mode, while Xreal's Project Aura glasses offer a 70-degree field of view and access to Android apps. The anticipated price for Project Aura could be around ,000, with a potential late next year launch.

XREAL Games unveiled new gameplay footage for Zero Caliber 2 during the UploadVR Summer Showcase and announced a projected release window for its PC VR version on Steam, set for Q3 2025. The game, initially launched on Quest, is being adapted for PC VR with enhancements including advanced enemy AI, improved ragdoll physics, dynamic shadows, enhanced explosion and weapon effects, refined environments and lighting, and smoother vehicle animations. Several missions are being rebuilt, and character models are receiving further refinement. Additionally, Zero Caliber 1 is targeting a Q3 2025 launch on PlayStation VR2, with plans for Zero Caliber 2 on the same platform contingent on the performance of Zero Caliber VR. Currently, Zero Caliber 2 is available on Quest.

Sightful has canceled its Spacetop G1 project and will refund all preorder deposits of 0. The Spacetop G1 was intended to be a screenless laptop compatible with Xreal Air 2 Ultra AR glasses, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and running on Sightful's Spacetop OS, with a retail price of ,900. Instead of hardware, Sightful will focus on developing AR system software that allows Xreal Air 2 Ultra glasses to work with Windows laptops featuring a Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This software will enable users to project Windows applications into a virtual space and will support devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon, Intel Core Ultra, or AMD Ryzen AI chipsets. The software aims to enhance user experience with features like six degrees of freedom (6DoF) tracking and multi-application management in a spatial environment. The launch of the Spacetop software for Windows is expected by the end of this year for laptops equipped with an NPU, also known as Copilot+ PCs.

Sightful has canceled the Spacetop G1, originally priced at ,900, which was set to launch in October 2024. Customers who pre-ordered will receive refunds of their 0 deposits. The decision was influenced by challenges in competing with Microsoft’s advanced neural processing units (NPUs) found in Surface laptops and offerings from other established manufacturers. The Spacetop G1 was designed to run on an Android-based SpaceOS with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QCS8550 chipset and was intended to work with XREAL Air 2 Ultra glasses. Sightful is shifting its focus to a software solution for Windows laptops, aiming to provide an AR experience that integrates with Microsoft’s CoPilot AI, expected to launch in early 2025. The software will initially support XREAL AR glasses via USB-C, with plans to extend compatibility to Mac users and potentially other devices in the future.
