Avowed Surfaces Ahead of Schedule
The highly anticipated fantasy RPG from Obsidian, Avowed, has not yet made its official debut on Steam, yet it has already found its way into the hands of eager gamers through various unofficial channels. This early access is primarily due to the Premium Edition purchasers, who have been granted access to the game a full five days prior to its scheduled release.
In a notable move, the developers opted to forgo the often-criticized Denuvo protection, which has made it relatively straightforward for the game to be pirated. Reports from users indicate that the version circulating on torrent sites mirrors the Premium Edition, complete with an additional set of skins, a digital art book, and the accompanying soundtrack.
The official launch of Avowed is set for February 18. Initial feedback suggests that the game has resonated well with both critics and players alike. However, a consensus among many is that while Avowed is a commendable effort, it has yet to reach the lofty heights of being labeled a “Skyrim killer.”
