PassMark Software Not Impressed by Lack of Copilot+ PC Tests
PassMark Software has expressed disappointment in the low number of Copilot+ PC tests conducted since the platform’s launch. According to a recent Twitter/X post by the benchmarking company, only 56 Windows-on-Arm machines have been benchmarked in the last 30 days, compared to 22,000 Windows x86 machines.
With just 0.3% of recently tested machines running on Snapdragon X CPUs, PassMark Software believes there is a significant gap in the representation of Arm architecture PCs being tested by end users. This disparity contrasts sharply with Qualcomm CEO’s ambitious goal of capturing 50% of the Windows PC market within five years.
New HP OmniBook Ultra 14 Challenges Qualcomm’s Battery Life Dominance
Last month, HP introduced the OmniBook X, boasting an impressive 16-hour battery life. However, Qualcomm’s reign in the battery life arena may be short-lived as HP launches the new OmniBook Ultra 14 today. This laptop offers AMD Ryzen AI 300 processor options and a battery life range of 13 to 21 hours.
Furthermore, Intel Lunar Lake portables are set to debut later this quarter, promising enhanced efficiency and improved battery life. With these developments, Qualcomm may face stiff competition in the battery life race.
