Among the notable features and enhancements introduced in these builds are:

  • New Selection Modes in Click to Do: This update introduces innovative selection methods for on-screen objects, including Freeform Selection, Rectangle Selection, and Ctrl + Click. This functionality bears resemblance to the Snipping Tool, allowing users to interact with various objects in diverse ways, enhancing usability.
  • Taskbar Improvements: A new animation effect has been added, triggered when users hover over app groups on the Taskbar, adding a touch of dynamism to the user experience.
  • File Explorer Enhancements: The context sub-menu for “File open” in Explorer will no longer feature an accent-colored “backplate” behind each packaged app icon. This change results in larger, more visible icons, improving accessibility.
  • Fixes: Each build encompasses a series of fixes across multiple areas, including Click to Do, Recall, Taskbar, System tray, Start menu, File Explorer, Login and Lock screen, Live captions, and more, ensuring a smoother overall experience.
