One of the proposed options, known as the Expanded view, would have displayed up to four participant videos, creating a more engaging visual experience. Meanwhile, the Compact view focused on providing quick access to actions such as raising a hand or sharing reactions.
Originally slated for rollout in May 2026, these features now find themselves stalled in the development pipeline, as reported by Neowin. This pause raises questions about whether they will undergo significant changes or even face cancellation before reaching users.
