Wider Rollout for Eligible Devices
As of December 4, 2024, the rollout of Windows 11, version 24H2, is now reaching many more systems that are currently running versions 22H2 and 23H2. Microsoft has confirmed that this phased approach aims to ensure a smooth upgrade experience for users.

To check if the update is available for your device, simply select Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates. If your device is ready for the update, you’ll see the option to Download and install.
In the event that users encounter issues post-upgrade, Microsoft has introduced a new “Fix problems using the Windows Update” feature. This option allows for an in-place repair, although it is recommended primarily for those who are familiar with troubleshooting.
For those who find that Windows Update is not presenting the option to upgrade, alternative methods such as Group Policy adjustments and Registry edits can be employed to initiate the update manually. However, caution is advised when taking these steps.
It is important to note that certain blocks may prevent the upgrade from being offered. These restrictions often stem from compatibility concerns. For instance, users with specific Ubisoft titles may find their updates blocked, as well as those utilizing certain USB scanners, printers, and network devices. Additionally, some Asus PCs are also excluded from receiving the update, highlighting the need for users to check their system’s compatibility before proceeding.
