Macrium, a prominent name in backup, disaster recovery, and imaging software, has recently introduced its latest offering, Reflect X. This innovative product is tailored specifically for Copilot+ ARM-based Windows devices, featuring native bare metal recovery and boot menu recovery options. The company positions Reflect X as a dependable solution for businesses that depend on ARM-based devices within their critical infrastructure.
According to Macrium, Reflect X significantly enhances performance, boasting image restoration speeds that are up to five times faster than its predecessor. This improvement stems from advancements in compression techniques and the optimization of multithreading processes, enabling the system to deliver peak performance while minimizing the time required for both backups and recovery.
Reflect X promises to tackle downtime challenges
As organizations increasingly rely on digital frameworks, the capacity to swiftly recover from system failures or cyberattacks has become paramount. Disruptions due to hardware malfunctions or data breaches can lead to substantial financial repercussions and operational delays. Sectors such as OEM, manufacturing, and energy are particularly vulnerable to the persistent threat of hardware failures, which can jeopardize data integrity and financial stability. For these industries, rapid recovery is crucial to mitigate extended downtime.
Reflect X addresses these challenges by offering expedited recovery times, enabling businesses to swiftly restore operations and adhere to their Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO). Beyond performance enhancements, Macrium has adopted a novel strategy regarding file accessibility by making backup files generated with Reflect X open source. This commitment to specialization allows Macrium to focus its resources on refining backup, recovery, and image deployment solutions, distinguishing itself from competitors that provide a more generalized approach to cyber resilience.
“Reflect X has been designed and developed around the needs of businesses, with an increased focus on metrics that matter most, such as Recovery Time Objective and Recovery Point Objective. It enables businesses to better protect their data while minimizing downtime in increasingly complex IT and OT environments,” stated Dave Joyce, CEO at Macrium.
