How It Works
The Suggested Replies feature leverages Microsoft’s advanced Cloud AI models to generate concise replies tailored to specific messages. This functionality is now available in Phone Link version 1.24082.137.0 for Windows 11 24H2 and 23H2. Users do not need to be part of the Windows Insider Program to access this feature; however, it is important to note that suggestions will only appear when the AI can accurately interpret the message content.
For instance, users may not receive suggested replies for messages that are excessively lengthy, contain URLs, include offensive language, or consist of one-time passwords (OTPs). According to Microsoft, “Once a user navigates to a text conversation in Phone Link, their recent text messages are uploaded to a Microsoft service to provide suggested replies within the conversation window.” This process not only facilitates the suggested replies but also aids in enhancing the overall user experience while ensuring safety and security.
