Windows 11 Rumored to Integrate Phone Link App into Start Menu

Windows 11 may soon feature the Phone Link app directly in the Start menu, according to reports from Windows 11 testers. The app is said to be in testing as a potential Start menu ‘Companion,’ although nothing is set in stone just yet.

While the Companion panel is still in the works and could be scrapped by Microsoft, there is evidence to suggest that Phone Link integration is a real possibility. This would allow users to receive smartphone notifications while navigating the Start menu, making for a seamless user experience.

Phone Link has been a staple in Windows for some time, and it makes sense for Microsoft to explore new features like this. With Apple introducing iPhone Mirroring with macOS Sequoia, it’s clear that smartphones are playing an increasingly important role in desktop operating systems.
