This year’s Summer Games Done Quick charity speedrunning event has made a significant impact, raising an impressive ,436,614 for Doctors Without Borders. The event, which unfolded from July 6th to 13th, attracted over 2,600 attendees at the Hilton Minneapolis in Minnesota, showcasing the community’s dedication to philanthropy through gaming.

Among the diverse lineup of games featured at Summer Games Done Quick 2025 were popular titles such as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Balatro, Super Mario Maker 2, Blue Prince, Mario Kart World, and Beat Saber. Each game provided a thrilling experience for both participants and viewers alike, further enhancing the event’s vibrant atmosphere.

While this year’s total is slightly below the .5 million raised in 2024, it still contributes to an impressive cumulative fundraising effort. Since its inception, Games Done Quick has successfully raised over million for various charitable organizations, including Doctors Without Borders and the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

The event also marks a transitional period for Games Done Quick, as founder Mike Uyama stepped down in August 2024, passing the torch to operations head Matt Merkle. This change in leadership signals a new chapter for the organization, which continues to thrive in its mission to combine gaming with charitable endeavors.
