Google Introduces Gemini Live Integration for Real-Time Assistance in Games
Google has announced that it will be integrating Gemini Live into games downloaded from the Play Store, allowing gamers to interact with the AI in real time for assistance during gameplay. This new feature, known as ‘Play Games Sidekick,’ will provide users with a convenient overlay that can be accessed with a swipe while playing the game.
With Gemini Live, players will be able to engage in real-time conversations with the AI and seek help without having to exit the game to search for walkthroughs or tutorials. The AI will offer verbal tips, tricks, and support based on the user’s game context, thanks to Gemini Live’s screen sharing capabilities.
According to Google, the Sidekick feature will be gradually rolled out for select games in the coming months. In addition to this exciting new integration, Google Play will also be introducing several other features, including Game Detail Pages.
The Game Detail Pages will provide users with a comprehensive overview of the game, including information on ongoing events, developer updates, and special offers. This feature aims to help users make informed decisions about purchasing or downloading a game without having to rely on external reviews.
For users who have already downloaded a game, the detail pages will offer a summary of their progress, achievements, and any relevant developer updates, providing an overview of their relationship with the game.
