1. Get Your PC Ready

8. Erase Your Drive
Your ChromeOS Flex USB drive can be reused for testing or installation on other laptops, but if you wish to repurpose it for general storage, you’ll need to erase it. Open the Chromebook Recovery Utility, click the settings cog, select Erase recovery media, choose the drive, and confirm. After erasing, restart your computer, enter the BIOS, and reset the boot options if necessary.
