Schedule 1’s Halloween update arrived two days late because the developer thought he should ‘probably play it safe’ and test it first

In a rather unexpected twist, Schedule 1’s Halloween update has arrived, albeit two days late, leaving many to ponder the sudden shift in seasonal decor. Developer TVGS has acknowledged this delay, with a candid apology: “Sorry this update is a couple of days late—I was originally planning on skipping the open beta and going straight to full release. At the last minute, I decided it was prudent to conduct a public beta test for at least a day.” This cautious approach seems to resonate well with the community, emphasizing the importance of thorough testing.

New Features and Enhancements

The update introduces a climbing system, complete with newly installed ladders on various buildings, enhancing vertical navigation for players. Additionally, several new graffiti locations have been added, along with a loading dock at the westernmost Gas-Mart, further enriching the game’s environment. Notably, the update includes what are referred to as “meth LODs,” a quirky addition that showcases the developers’ creativity.

As is customary with updates, mechanical tweaks and bug fixes are also part of the package. While the changes may not be groundbreaking, TVGS has made strides in optimizing gameplay, promising players a 10%-15% improvement in framerate. Furthermore, the developer has pinpointed the source of connection issues in multiplayer mode, attributing it to bandwidth limitations, though they caution that further work is still needed to fully rectify the problem.
