Dispatch Achieves Major Sales Milestone
In a remarkable achievement for the gaming industry, the recently-released episodic title Dispatch has surpassed the impressive milestone of one million copies sold. Launched on October 22nd, the game reached gold status merely two weeks after its debut, a testament to its immediate popularity and appeal among players.
Developed by AdHoc, a studio founded by former Telltale Games veterans in 2018, Dispatch has quickly captured the attention of gamers worldwide. Executive producer and CEO Michael Choung expressed a mix of excitement and humility regarding the game’s success. “It’s always a little strange when the numbers get so big you have to talk about them,” he remarked. “A week ago, we were just as thrilled watching Let’s Plays and reaction videos.”
Choung emphasized the significance of reaching such a milestone, noting that it not only reflects the success of AdHoc but also opens doors for future projects. “Milestones like this matter. They mean AdHoc will be able to make more story-driven episodic originals, and we hope it means it’ll be easier for other devs to do the same,” he added. With the journey of Dispatch still ongoing, Choung hinted at the potential for even more exciting developments ahead, stating, “Hard to believe we’re only halfway done.”
