I never understood the appeal of a jumbo novelty d20 until I saw one inspired by one of my favorite new RPGs

Die Hard Dice has introduced an exciting new collection of d20 dice inspired by the much-anticipated RPG, Esoteric Ebb, which is currently generating buzz as a leading contender for the title of best RPG of 2026. These unique dice are now available for pre-order, with fulfillment expected by June.

Product Details

The collection features three distinct products, although it can be said that there are effectively two and a half offerings, as two sets of dice come packaged with different colored bags. Each set includes three standard-sized d20s, each representing one of the main characters from Esoteric Ebb. Customers can choose between a vibrant purple or a striking orange bag to accompany their dice.

  • Snell: A translucent green and blue d20 designed for the goblin rogue.
  • Meek: A purple and white die representing the wearable mimic.
  • Ettir: A dark brown d20 with a shimmering gold finish, symbolizing the angelic character.

Each die features a unique symbol that corresponds to its character, replacing the traditional critical 20 face. Among the offerings is also a notably hefty metal die known as The Cleric. This die stands out with its blue and white faces, complemented by an electroplated finish that highlights the character’s helm.

While the novelty of these Esoteric Ebb-themed dice is certainly appealing, it may be wise for enthusiasts to first invest in the game itself. The immersive experience it offers is truly remarkable. Even for those who consider themselves completionists, the game has layers of depth that can easily be overlooked. Developer Christoffer Bodegård has also garnered praise for his innovative approach to save scumming, adding yet another dimension to the gameplay.
