Crimson Desert Update 1.0.7: New Features and Enhancements
In a remarkable display of agility, the latest update for Crimson Desert, version 1.0.7, has landed shortly after its predecessor, bringing with it a host of exciting enhancements. While this patch may not carry the weight of its forerunner, it introduces a range of features that are sure to delight players.
The update expands the unarmed combat capabilities of characters Kliff and Damiane, adding depth to the already exhilarating gameplay. Players can now enjoy a broader array of registerable mount types, alongside the ability to re-encounter several formidable bosses.
The unarmed combat system in Crimson Desert continues to impress, allowing players to traverse the expansive plains of Pywel with a unique flair. Executing suplexes on unsuspecting foes is not only effective but also immensely satisfying. While Kliff and Oongka present a more robust fighting style—Oongka particularly excelling at tossing enemies like toys—Damiane’s rapid and dynamic approach remains a fan favorite.
According to the patch notes, Damiane has received several new unarmed skills that enhance her combat repertoire. Her latest kicks are designed to send adversaries flying, seamlessly integrating into her fluid combat style. In a game where one might typically shy away from unarmed confrontations against ranged opponents, Damiane proves to be the exception. Kliff, too, has gained new unarmed techniques, including the Blinding Flash Finisher, which can now be executed without a weapon, making it an excellent addition to any combo.
Previously, the Aerial Stab ability allowed players to navigate the skies of the RPG with ease. Although a bug fix introduced the Focused Aerial Roll, which comes with a stamina cost, it still serves as a valuable tool for gaining altitude. This skill, once exclusive to Kliff, is now accessible to both Oongka and Damiane, enhancing their exploration capabilities.
With an array of new skills at their disposal, players are encouraged to test their mettle in boss battles. For those who have already faced the previously available challenges, there’s good news: developer Pearl Abyss has added five new encounters. Players can now engage with Muskan, Corrupted Caliburn, Goyen, Draven, the Crowcaller, and Clockwork White Horn, providing fresh opportunities for exhilarating combat.
Additionally, the update introduces new wolf and bear types as permanent mounts, along with extra reins for rideable creatures. A variety of bug fixes and miscellaneous tweaks have also been implemented, further refining the gaming experience. Pearl Abyss is consistently delivering updates that are rich in content, and with each iteration, Crimson Desert continues to evolve, leaving players eager for a potential new playthrough.
