In a recent conversation with business podcaster David Senra, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed unwavering confidence regarding the anticipated release of GTA 6. Despite the swirling rumors and speculation surrounding potential delays, Zelnick affirmed that the game is set to launch on November 19. This statement comes as fans eagerly await updates, especially considering the last trailer was released over a year ago.
Confidence Amidst Speculation
During the interview, Senra highlighted the immense value of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, prompting questions about the timeline for the game’s release. “You’re sitting on the most valuable media property in the world and everybody online is just like, ‘When’s GTA 6 coming out?'” he remarked. Zelnick, however, was quick to clarify, stating, “Well, no. November 19. I do know.”
When discussing the previous delays, Zelnick acknowledged that the project is approximately 18 months behind its original schedule. Senra also inquired about the series’ standing in the gaming industry, to which Zelnick responded, “I think so, but it depends on how you count.” He noted that other franchises, such as Mario Kart and Call of Duty, could also be contenders for the title of the most successful game series.
Awaiting PC Confirmation
As the gaming community buzzes with excitement, PC gamers remain in a state of anticipation, hoping for confirmation that GTA 6 will be available on their platform. Currently, the November 19 release is set for consoles only, leaving many to speculate about the likelihood of a PC version before the end of 2026, especially if further delays occur.
While Senra’s interview was posted on May 17, the timing of the conversation with Zelnick remains unclear. Nonetheless, the reassurance provided has been welcomed by the GTA community, which has been increasingly vocal about the need for new information. Some fans are even speculating that a new trailer for GTA 6 could be unveiled as soon as this week, and many are eagerly awaiting any updates that may come their way.
