Considering a Windows System for Desktop
I’m currently weighing my options for adding a Windows system to my desktop setup. After some research, I’ve narrowed it down to two main choices: a 2018 base mini or an i7-10700 system with 128 GB of RAM. My primary concern is finding a system that is energy-efficient.
The reason I’m leaning towards a Windows system is due to the recurring issue of macOS corruption on macOS Apple Silicon. Reinstalling macOS can be a time-consuming process, taking up to two hours to complete. In contrast, the Windows version uses significantly less RAM, only 1 GB compared to the 8 GB used on Apple Silicon with WINE and Rosetta 2.
