While many users may feel comfortable with the current user interface, the tech giant is determined to enhance the experience with a series of thoughtful adjustments.
Notable Changes in the Toolbar
The primary focus of these updates revolves around the toolbar situated at the bottom of the app. Currently, this toolbar features an Add button, a Background options button, and a formatting controls button. However, a shake-up is on the horizon that aims to streamline user interactions.
- The Add button, represented by a familiar plus icon, is set to become larger and will adopt a permanent blue hue. This change ensures that the button remains visually distinct, reducing the likelihood of accidental taps on nearby controls.
- In a notable shift, the Background options button has been replaced by a checkbox button, which facilitates a quicker transition between a standard note and a list format. Although the Background options button has been relocated, it remains accessible within the menu that appears when the plus icon is tapped.
In this new configuration, users will find the Background option nestled among other features such as Reminder, Labels, and Collaborator, which have also been added to the Add menu. This reorganization hints at a more intuitive approach to note-taking and list management.
