South Korea’s AhnLab has made headlines with its recent achievement, announcing on October 1 that its flagship V3 antivirus software has secured a flawless score in the latest assessment conducted by the esteemed German security testing organization, AV-TEST.
Unprecedented Recognition
This accolade places AhnLab in a unique position, as it stands as the sole South Korean entity to attain the maximum score in AV-TEST’s evaluation of antivirus products for Windows, conducted during July and August of 2026. The rigorous evaluation process assesses security solutions across major operating systems, including Windows and Android, focusing on their efficacy in combating malware threats.
AV-TEST employs a scoring system where products can earn up to six points in three distinct categories: protection, performance, and usability. This results in a potential total of 18 points. AhnLab proudly reports that both its corporate offering, V3 Endpoint Security, and its consumer product, V3 Internet Security, achieved the full 18 points in this latest evaluation.
In addition to this remarkable score, both products have been honored with the title of “Top Products,” a prestigious designation awarded by AV-TEST to those that deliver exceptional results in their evaluations.
A Legacy of Excellence
AhnLab has been a consistent participant in AV-TEST’s Windows antivirus evaluations since 2013, marking it as the only South Korean cybersecurity firm to maintain such a continuous presence. Competing against global giants like Microsoft, Kaspersky, and Bitdefender, AhnLab’s commitment to excellence is evident.
“It is particularly meaningful that V3 was the only Korean product to receive a perfect score and that both our corporate and consumer V3 products achieved the highest possible score,” remarked AhnLab Director Yang Ha-young. “We will continue to provide reliable security services across diverse environments by further strengthening our technology and product competitiveness to global standards with AI.”
