Now, fans can look forward to a fresh infusion of Stranger Things content in Dead by Daylight. Although details remain sparse, Behaviour has hinted at the inclusion of one new killer, one new survivor, and an entirely new map. Initially slated for an earlier release, the chapter’s debut was postponed as Behaviour dedicated time to address various bugs, performance issues, and balance concerns.

While the details are not entirely clear, it appears that the new killer may be Vecna, a chilling antagonist from Stranger Things. This raises an interesting dilemma, as the character was named Vecna due to its resemblance to a creature from the Dungeons and Dragons universe. However, Dead by Daylight has already introduced its own version of Vecna as a killer, known as The Lich, creating a unique overlap in character lore.
Behaviour has confirmed that the new DBD Stranger Things chapter is set to arrive in January 2026, indicating that it has not encountered further delays in the wake of the recent improvements to the game’s core elements.
