‘Angry’ Jason Momoa accused of ‘yelling’ at crew members on ‘Minecraft’ set in ‘disappointing’ tirade
A recent conversation on YouTube has brought to light some serious allegations against actor Jason Momoa, known for his roles in blockbuster films and television series. During an episode of JasonTheWeen’s channel, streamer Valkyrae, 32, shared her experience from the set of the upcoming live-action film “A Minecraft Movie,” which is set to release in 2025.
While participating in a segment reminiscent of the popular “Hot Ones” series, Valkyrae was asked about her most challenging experiences with celebrities. Initially hesitant, she eventually pointed to Momoa, stating that she had witnessed him “mistreat some of the crew.”
Valkyrae described an incident that occurred after a particularly intense scene, suggesting that perhaps Momoa was still in character. “It was pretty disappointing,” she remarked, noting that his behavior was out of character for someone of his stature.
She elaborated, saying, “He was just angry. Like, really mad and like, yelling.” Valkyrae expressed her surprise at how he treated the crew, explaining that he seemed frustrated with their performance during the setup of a shot.
“I was like, man, this is like, not a good work environment and like I would not be happy working under these conditions,” she added, emphasizing the impact of such behavior on team morale.
As news of Valkyrae’s comments spread, a wave of support for Momoa emerged on social media. Fans took to X to defend the actor, questioning the credibility of Valkyrae’s claims. Comments ranged from skepticism about her experience to outright dismissal of her allegations.
Momoa’s representatives have yet to respond to requests for comment regarding the allegations. Meanwhile, Valkyrae continues to thrive in her career, having made a name for herself as a prominent figure in the gaming community.
Born Rachell Marie Hofstetter, Valkyrae rose to fame on Twitch with her Fortnite streams in 2018. She later transitioned to YouTube, where her channel has amassed over 4 million subscribers. Recognized as YouTube’s most-watched female streamer since 2020, she has received accolades including AdWeek’s “Gaming Creator of the Year” in 2021 and a spot on Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list in 2022.
