Supermassive Games, renowned for their previous hits like Until Dawn and The Quarry, has officially released Directive 8020. This cinematic sci-fi survival horror title marks the latest chapter in the beloved The Dark Pictures anthology, now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
Set against the backdrop of a dying Earth, the narrative unfolds 12 light years away on Tau Ceti f, where the colony ship Cassiopeia crash-lands. The crew quickly discovers they are not alone, facing an alien organism that can mimic its prey. As they fight for survival, they must grapple with a harrowing choice: to save themselves, they may have to jeopardize the lives of everyone back home.
In this innovative twist on survival horror, players will experience a blend of real-time threats and survival gameplay, enhancing the traditional The Dark Pictures formula. The introduction of Turning Points allows players to navigate complex moral dilemmas, where trust is a scarce commodity, and every decision can lead to dire consequences.
