The Drowner’s Map serves as an intriguing introduction to the treasure-hunting mechanics in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. While it may not be the most precise of maps—reflecting the artistic limitations of medieval cartography—it offers players a chance to engage with the game’s exploration elements. This particular map is acquired from a submerged treasure hunter, who met an unfortunate fate while seeking the legendary plunder of the water goblin. Fortunately for players, his failure allows them to claim the map from his rather soggy remains.
Drowner’s Map treasure location
Despite its poor craftsmanship, the map points to a treasure located along the southern shore of Rocktower Pond, a significant body of water situated in the western part of the game world, where players first set up camp during the prologue. The treasure, known as the Water Goblin’s Treasure, can be found by following a path west from Zhelejov, passing by Bozhena’s shack along the shoreline.

Upon reaching the end of the trail, players will need to dismount and navigate through the reeds. Staying close to the shore, they will soon discover a small clay pot on their left, reminiscent of the one depicted on the Drowner’s Map. Opening this pot reveals a modest sum of 125 Groschen—perhaps not a fortune, but a welcome addition to one’s early-game finances.

For those curious to explore further, the Water Goblin’s Hut is located on the opposite side of Rocktower Pond, inviting adventurers to delve deeper into the lore and mysteries of this enchanting world.
