In a troubling incident at the Apple Cinemas in Warwick, Rhode Island, four teenagers have been apprehended following an altercation that escalated during a screening of “A Minecraft Movie.” The police were summoned shortly before midnight after reports of a disturbance emerged from the theater.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a chaotic scene with a sizable crowd gathered in the parking lot. Among the individuals were two adults who had sustained injuries, one of whom was visibly bleeding. The victims recounted that their movie experience was disrupted by a loud group of teenagers seated behind them. After requesting the teens to lower their volume, the situation took a turn for the worse as the group began to mock the adults and continued their disruptive behavior throughout the film.
Once the credits rolled, one of the victims approached the teenagers to address the issue. This interaction led to the teens following the adults outside, where the confrontation escalated into physical violence. Reports indicate that the adults were assaulted, with one victim alleging that a teenager in a black hoodie inflicted a stab wound.
Emergency services transported both men to Kent Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Meanwhile, law enforcement quickly located the four suspects, who were subsequently taken into custody. The teenagers, aged between 14 and 16, were then transferred to the Rhode Island Training School. Due to their ages, their identities remain confidential.
Each of the four teens faces serious charges, including two counts of felony assault, one count of simple assault, disorderly conduct, and conspiracy, as reported by the police. This incident highlights the potential for conflict in public entertainment venues and raises questions about safety and behavior among young audiences.
