Full Mobile Games Now Supported in Android Auto

Pepelac.news has reported that Google is currently testing a new feature in Android Auto version 14.1 that will allow users to play full mobile games on their car’s display. This feature is currently only available to beta program users but is expected to roll out to the general public soon.

Previously, Android Auto only supported lightweight HTML5-based GameSnacks titles that required no installation. With this new feature, users will be able to run any games that are pre-installed on their smartphones. Some of the currently supported games include popular titles like Candy Crush, Angry Birds, and Beach Buggy Racing. There have even been reports of users successfully launching Farm Heroes Saga, indicating that Google is experimenting with different game options.

However, the gaming experience in Android Auto is not without its issues. Users have reported sluggish performance, poor touch responsiveness, and a lack of support for cars without touchscreen displays. Additionally, Google has not optimized the games for vehicle use, with some games still relying on tilt controls that may not work well with in-car entertainment systems.

At this stage, many games are not functioning properly, with reports of Angry Birds failing to launch entirely. While Android Auto version 14.1 is expected to be released next week, it is unclear whether full game support will remain in the final update.
