Gakuen Idolm@ster Game’s PC Version Launches on March 18

The official X account for Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Gakuen Idolm@ster game app has revealed that the eagerly anticipated PC version will debut on the DMM Games platform on March 18. This announcement, made on Monday, has generated excitement among fans eager to engage with the game in a new format.

Initially launched in Japan in May 2024, Gakuen Idolm@ster invites players to step into the role of a producer at the Hatsuboshi Gakuen idol training school. The game began with nine talented idols, and has expanded its roster over time, introducing new characters through various events. Players navigate the complexities of friendship and rivalry among the idols, who are both peers and competitors, all while enjoying a soundtrack and music videos that echo the vibrant trends of contemporary Japanese YouTube culture and the utaite subculture.

Adding to the franchise’s allure, creators Kotoba Inoya and Yuu Okino introduced the Gakuen Idolmaster Gold Rush manga in Akita Publishing’s Shōnen Champion magazine in October 2024. This series centers around the character Kotone Fujita, further enriching the narrative universe of the game.
