The trailer introduces us to Jason “Do You Even Lift” Duval as he embarks on a mission to retrieve his partner in crime—and in life—from her recent incarceration. Once liberated, Lucia “Okay One More Butt Shot” Caminos demonstrates her prowess with an array of weapons, engages in physical confrontations, and shares playful moments with Jason, all set to the nostalgic tune of the 1986 hit “Hot Together” by the Pointer Sisters.
According to Rockstar’s official website, the narrative surrounding Jason and Lucia is fraught with challenges. “They have always known the deck is stacked against them,” the studio explains. “But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, caught in a criminal conspiracy that spans the state of Leonida. They must depend on each other more than ever if they hope to survive.”
The game will also feature a cast of intriguing characters, including the conspiracy theorist Cal Hampton, reminiscent of a Jack Black persona, the bank robber Raul Bautista, the gangster-turned-musician Dre’Quan Priest, and two social media rappers known as Real Dimez. Rockstar has released a plethora of screenshots showcasing these characters, further enriching the game’s narrative landscape.
This trailer arrives in the wake of a recent delay, which has pushed the release date of this open-world crime simulation to May 2026, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what lies ahead in this expansive universe.
