Hackers stole 1.2TB of internal data from Disney

Theft at the House of Mouse

Entertainment giant Disney has fallen victim to a cyberattack, with hackers making off with a whopping 1.2TB of data, according to reports from HackRead. The hacktivist group NullBulge has claimed responsibility for the breach on the cybercrime platform Breach Forum, boasting about stealing nearly 10,000 channels, messages, files, unreleased projects, raw images, code, logins, internal API/web pages, and more.

Nullbridge took to Twitter to provide further details on their haul, revealing that they had dumped Disney’s entire dev Slack, containing 1.1 TiB of files and chat messages. The group declared that they had downloaded and packaged up anything they could get their hands on, inviting curious onlookers to peek behind the curtain and see what goes on behind closed doors.

Among the stolen information are details on games, including Disney’s collaboration with Epic Games and an upcoming sequel to Aliens: Fireteam Elite. The breach serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing threat posed by cyberattacks in the digital age.
