Hermitcraft Hermits Speak About the New Season

Hermitcraft stands as a monumental pillar in the realm of Minecraft, having carved its niche since its inception in 2012. This server franchise has become a gathering place for some of YouTube’s most talented Minecrafters, who unite to deliver engaging, family-friendly content that resonates across the digital landscape. As Season Eleven commenced in November 2025, the Hermits have embarked on a journey that has already yielded remarkable achievements. Three months into the season, they have crafted sprawling megabases that are nothing short of awe-inspiring, while also delving into intricate minigames and innovative gameplay mechanics.

Among the dedicated Hermits is iJevin, a seasoned member since 2013, who has participated in ten seasons and is currently immersed in constructing a pirate-themed base. Another prominent figure, Welsknight, joined the ranks in 2016 and has contributed to eight seasons, now focusing on building a Japanese village as his home. Both creators graciously shared their insights on their experiences with Hermitcraft, their aspirations for the current season, and their visions for the future.

SUPERJUMP

What are your goals and plans for this season of Hermitcraft?

Welsknight

My primary objective this season is to maintain a more active presence than I have in recent years. I envision a sprawling feudal Japanese castle town as my main base, complemented by an industrial area located thousands of blocks away for my various farms.

SUPERJUMP

Is there anything you’re particularly looking forward to this season? Perhaps new Minecraft updates, or engaging with shops and minigames created by fellow Hermits?

Jevin

As with any new season, anticipation runs high. While the latest Minecraft updates are certainly exciting, my focus lies more on the server’s dynamics: the new builds and games being developed, such as TangoTek’s Decked Out 3, along with the amusing antics that unfold.

Welsknight

TangoTek’s Decked Out 3 is bound to be a standout feature of the season once it’s completed. Beyond that, I eagerly await all the spontaneous interactions and unexpected shenanigans.

SUPERJUMP

Reflecting on last season, what were some of your favorite moments and builds? How do you plan to approach this season’s builds, similarly or differently?

Jevin

I was thrilled with my creations from last season, particularly the forest and castle. Each season, I aim to innovate, and this year is no exception. The theme is pirates!

Welsknight

Even though I was less active for part of last season, I’m pleased with how my fantasy castle turned out. This season, I plan to adhere closely to the same design principles for my castle.

SUPERJUMP

Jevin, this marks your tenth season of Hermitcraft. Does it feel like that much time has passed? What is it like being part of a community that has evolved over the years?

Jevin

Being a Hermit is truly fascinating. Collaborating with some of the most skilled Minecrafters is an experience that continually amazes me. I often find myself looking around in awe. However, it also necessitates that I consistently invest in my skills to keep pace, which can be a source of stress, albeit a productive one.

SUPERJUMP

Welsknight, after eight seasons, does it feel like such a long time?

Welsknight

No, it doesn’t feel that way at all. The years have flown by. It’s remarkable to witness how Hermitcraft has grown and transformed into a significant entity within the broader Minecraft community. I take pride in the positivity and wholesomeness that permeates the Hermitcraft community, despite its vast popularity.

SUPERJUMP

What are your thoughts on Hermitcraft’s history? Did you ever envision it becoming as influential and impactful as it is today?

Jevin

When I first joined Hermitcraft, I could never have anticipated its current stature. I feel immense pride for everyone involved.

Welsknight

When I began playing Minecraft, I was heavily influenced by creators like GoodTimesWithScar, BdoubleO100, and Keralis. Many others learned the game from watching Etho or delved into its technical aspects through figures like Mumbo Jumbo and Docm77. It’s surreal to now be playing on a server with those very individuals, and to see Hermitcraft serve as a source of inspiration for Minecraft players globally.

SUPERJUMP

Where do you envision Hermitcraft heading in the future?

Jevin

Predicting the future is challenging. I simply know that I will continue to put forth my best effort.

Welsknight

I tend not to dwell on that too much. I believe we’ll be around for a long time. For now, I prefer to savor the journey.

Special thanks to Jevin and Welsknight for this interview.
