In the vibrant world of Palworld, players are on the hunt for the elusive Nightstar Sand, a mid-game crafting ingredient that remains accessible only through the traditional method of gathering. As you embark on your journey after the Palworld 1.0 release, you’ll find that this glowing sand is essential for crafting various items from tech tree recipes starting at level 56. Having navigated this terrain during early access, I can share some insights on how to efficiently collect this sought-after resource.
Palworld Nightstar Sand location
For those eager to farm Nightstar Sand, the Dessicated Dunes offers a prime location, particularly at night. Begin your adventure by fast traveling to the Searing Dunes Watchtower, then look northward and glide off the cliff ledge to discover the glowing sand nodes below. These nodes only reveal themselves under the cover of darkness, with their faint luminescence becoming visible as the sun sets. While it’s possible to spot them during daylight, success in this endeavor relies heavily on keen observation and a bit of luck. After a few nightly excursions, I found I had more than enough sand to craft the items I desired.
- Feybreak Island beaches boast a greater abundance of Nightstar Sand compared to the dunes. However, this area can be challenging to navigate for lower-level players. For a more manageable experience, the Searing Dunes location is recommended for solo or under-leveled adventurers.
- The Dessicated Dunes also contain Nightstar Sand around the Tower of the PIDF, but the deposits are relatively sparse. It’s advisable to focus your efforts near the fast travel point for optimal efficiency.
As you explore Feybreak Island, keep an eye out for deposits that often extend inland. Following the trails of Nightstar Sand from the light-colored beaches into the grassy areas can yield impressive results; I managed to collect around 100 in just one night. Conversely, the sparse deposits in the Dessicated Dunes make it unnecessary to exhaust yourself searching for more. The lack of foliage in the dunes allows you to spot the glow from a distance.
The glowing sand primarily serves as a crafting material for weapons, tools, and accessories, meaning you won’t require an extensive supply for items like ammo or potions. Here are a few crafting recipes that utilize Nightstar Sand:
