Among these tracks is the intriguing Tears music disc, which presents a unique challenge for players eager to add it to their collection. To acquire this disc, players must engage in a battle that requires a bit of strategy and skill.
How to Get Tears Music Disc in Minecraft
The Tears music disc is obtained by completing the Return to Sender challenge. This task takes players into the Nether dimension, where they must locate and defeat a ghast using its own fireballs. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:
1. Locate a Ghast in the Nether Dimension
To enter the Nether, gather Obsidian blocks and a Flint and Steel to ignite the Ruined Portal. Equip yourself with a sword, a shield, and at least complete iron armor, along with some building blocks for defense. Once prepared, light the portal and step into the Nether, where ghasts can be found in the following biomes:
- Soul Sand Valley
- Basalt Delta
- Nether Waste
Be cautious when searching in the Basalt Deltas, as the area is riddled with lava pools, which can complicate your battle strategy. In Java Edition, ghasts may spawn in groups of up to four, while in Bedrock Edition, they appear individually. Remember, they typically do not reside within structures like Nether Fortresses but may be seen flying nearby.
2. Defeat the Ghast with Its Own Fireball
Once you have located a ghast, prepare for combat. Use your shield to block its explosive fireballs while positioning blocks to create a barricade. The ghast has five hearts of health and will attack upon spotting you or if you provoke it. Here are some tips to successfully defeat the ghast:
- Initially, block a few fireballs with your shield to get a feel for the timing.
- Observe the ghast’s next attack closely.
- When the fireball comes within range, click the left mouse button with your sword to deflect it back at the ghast.
Repeat this process a few times to bring down the ghast. Its aerial movements may make aiming challenging, so practice your timing to improve your chances of hitting it accurately.
3. Pick Up the Tears Music Disc
After successfully defeating the ghast with its own fireball, the Tears music disc will drop at the location of its demise, and you will receive the Return To Sender achievement notification. In addition to the music disc, you may also collect a ghast tear or gunpowder as loot.
With the disc in your inventory, return to your base and either place or craft a Minecraft Jukebox. Interact with it while holding the disc to enjoy the soothing sounds of the Tears music track.
