REDMAGIC 11S Pro benchmarks
Before the heatwave hit, I ran our regular benchmark suite, and the results are equal parts encouraging and worrying for Regmagic’s latest gaming handset.
- The phone edges out its competitors in Geekbench 6, even outscoring the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy by 3% in both single- and multi-core tests.
- The Snapdragon chip also opens a sizeable lead over rival silicon, besting the Dimensity 9500 inside the OPPO Find X9 Pro by 17% in single-core and 21% in multi-core.
- The REDMAGIC 11S Pro excels in 3DMark’s Wild Life Extreme test, sustaining peak performance far better than the competition.
Real gaming in a heatwave
Stress tests are one thing; real games tend to be less demanding, with lighter graphical workloads and a more balanced requirement between CPU and GPU. Most flagship phones can sustain 60 fps or higher very well in my testing.
- Call of Duty Mobile’s Battle Royale remains a good real-world stress test for modern mobile graphics, with the REDMAGIC 11S Pro managing to sustain 120fps throughout.
- Asphalt Legends proved to be a challenge for the handset, struggling to hit close to 60fps with performance throttling due to high temperatures.
- In emulation tests playing Mario Kart Wii, the handset was able to hold a steady 60fps in-game despite rising temperatures.
Do you need robust cooling on a modern gaming phone?
Modern graphics silicon is increasingly constrained by form factor, with power draw and thermals limiting sustained performance. While robust cooling setups can help maintain high performance, they may not always be necessary for achieving optimal gaming experiences.
The REDMAGIC 11S Pro offers a powerful gaming experience with additional cooling hardware, a large battery, and fast charging capabilities at a competitive price point of 9/€799.
