Marathon Alpha Requirements And Minimum PC Specs Revealed

Bungie has unveiled the specifications and requirements for the closed alpha test of its eagerly awaited shooter game, Marathon. This testing phase will take place across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms in North America from April 23 to May 4.

To participate in this alpha test, players must join the official Marathon Discord channel, where Bungie will extend invitations to selected participants. Eligibility criteria include being located in North America, being at least 18 years of age, possessing access to a PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC, and maintaining a Bungie.net account in good standing.

While a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live account is not necessary for the alpha test, it will be required when Marathon officially launches. Notably, friend invites will not be supported during the alpha phase; however, selected participants can team up with friends who also qualify.

The alpha test will require approximately 6GB of storage and will only support the English language, although Bungie has plans to include multiple languages in the full game.
