New Features
Spear Weapon
- The spear’s hit animation and sound effects are now synchronized, playing only after the previous hit animation has fully completed while charging.
- In first-person view, the spear head gradually rotates to a fully vertical position over time, aligning its behavior with that observed in third-person view.
Changes
- The “See-Through Leaves” video setting has been disabled in the “Fast” graphics preset to enhance performance.
- Tamed horses have been programmed to avoid running into cacti or sweet berry bushes, improving their navigation.
Fixed bugs in 1.21.11 Pre-Release 3
- MC-302900 – Resolved an issue where spears’ reach was overriding the player’s entity interaction range.
- MC-303036 – Fixed a bug causing zombie nautiluses with a negative age to possess an incorrectly sized hitbox.
- MC-303709 – Addressed a crash that occurred when dumping dynamic textures with large textures.
- MC-304045 – Corrected spear hit sounds to ensure they play the appropriate sound effects.
- MC-304362 – Resolved a permanent break in RGSS when toggling hardware anisotropic filtering.
- MC-304363 – Fixed the rendering position of copper golem statues on shelves when reloading resource packs.
- MC-304407 – Charge attacks are now functional when targeting mobs located between 3 and 4.5 blocks away.
- MC-304440 – The mouse cursor now correctly changes to a pointing hand shape when hovering over inventory slots in the crafter UI.
- MC-304441 – The mouse cursor will also change shape when hovering over the creative inventory scroll bar’s bounds, even if it is invisible or inactive.
- MC-304452 – Non-see-through leaves in Programmer Art have been corrected to display properly.
Get the Pre-Release
Pre-Releases are available for Minecraft: Java Edition. To install the latest pre-release, simply open the Minecraft Launcher and enable snapshots in the “Installations” tab. It is important to note that testing versions can potentially corrupt your world, so please ensure you back up your data and/or run them in a separate folder from your main worlds.

- Download the provided zip file.
- Unpack the folder into the “versions” directory of your local Minecraft application data folder.
- Start (or restart) the Launcher.

- Launch the game, and the remaining files will be downloaded automatically.
