Today marks an exciting milestone as we dispatch the first release candidate for version 26.2, accompanied by the much-anticipated Chaos Cubed game drop. This release candidate is a significant step towards the eventual full version, pending the discovery of any critical issues during testing.

Fixed bugs in 26.2 Release Candidate 1

  • MC-308716: Resolved an issue where pressing the “Friends Screen” key bind while in a world did not display the friends list.

Get the Release Candidate

The Release Candidates are now available for Minecraft: Java Edition. To access this version, simply open the Minecraft Launcher and activate snapshots in the “Installations” tab.

Important: Testing versions have the potential to corrupt your world. We strongly recommend backing up your data and/or running these versions in a separate folder from your main worlds.
