Minecraft Comes to PS5
A native version of Minecraft is finally making its way to the PlayStation 5. Mojang, the developer behind the popular game, has announced that players will soon be able to enjoy Minecraft on the latest Sony console without having to purchase the PlayStation 4 version.
To get started, players will need a PS5 and the PS4 version of Minecraft. Once you have both, simply navigate to Settings and hit Preview to access the new PS5 version. The Tricky Trials Update will be available, allowing players to explore trial chambers, visit Realms, craft new items, and more.
Keep in mind that the preview version is a test build, so there may be glitches and bugs present. Additionally, access to the Minecraft Store will be limited, and crossplay will only be available with friends on PS4 and PS5 consoles. However, Realms will still allow players to connect with friends on other devices.
In other Minecraft news, a new animated series has been announced for Netflix as part of the game’s 15th-year anniversary celebrations. The trailer for the series features a lone Creeper and a blocky lava-filled cavern in the Nether, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting addition to the Minecraft universe.
