Minecraft Is Finally Getting A Native PS5 Version

Minecraft Native Version Coming to PlayStation 5

Developer Mojang has announced that a native version of Minecraft is on its way to PlayStation 5. Currently in the testing phase, players who own the PlayStation 4 version of the game can participate in the preview right now.

While Minecraft has been playable on PS5 for years, it has always been the PS4 version. This new native version is specifically built for PS5, promising better performance on the console.

“Currently, the only way to play Minecraft on a PlayStation 5 is by purchasing the PlayStation 4 version of the game,” the announcement states. “By developing a native version for PS5, we aim to optimize the game for the console’s hardware.”

Players interested in trying out the Minecraft PS5 version preview can access it through the PS4 version of the game on their PS5. Simply go to “Settings” while playing on a PS5 and select “Preview.” The preview includes the new Tricky Trials update, offering exciting new gameplay features.

Mojang encourages players to report any bugs encountered during the preview and provide feedback for further improvements.
