The latest installment in the Minecraft universe, known as The Copper Age, has been revealed, promising an exciting array of new functionalities for Copper within the game. While the official release date remains unannounced, players can anticipate its arrival sometime in 2025.

Although an exact date has yet to be confirmed, The Copper Age is expected to launch later in 2025, generating considerable anticipation among the community.
The Copper Age Details
Copper Golem and Statue
One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of the Copper Golem. Players can summon this helpful entity by placing a carved pumpkin atop a copper block. The Copper Golem excels in organization; upon its arrival, a copper chest appears alongside it. Players can deposit items into this chest, and the Golem will diligently sort them into other chests based on matching items.
As time passes, the Copper Golem will oxidize, ultimately freezing in place and transforming into a statue. These statues can be posed in one of four distinct positions. Additionally, players can “rewake” their Golem using an axe, and applying wax can prevent further oxidization.
Copper Tools
The update will also feature a complete set of Copper tools, which includes:
- Copper Pickaxe
- Copper Axe
- Copper Hoe
- Copper Shovel
- Copper Sword
These tools offer greater durability and strength compared to Stone, while still being less effective than Iron. Beyond tools, players will have the opportunity to craft a full set of Copper armor, as well as Copper horse armor.
Decorative Copper Blocks
The Copper Age will introduce several decorative blocks, enhancing the aesthetic possibilities within the game:
- Copper Lanterns
- Copper Torches
- Copper Chains
- Copper Bars
- Lightning Rods (now subject to oxidization)
Shelf
A new block, the Shelf, will allow players to display up to three items at once. Multiple shelves can be connected to create an extensive display wall. Additionally, players can use Shelf blocks to swap out items in their hotbar. By powering a row of shelves with redstone, players will be able to swap up to nine items simultaneously!
New Dye Art
In a visual upgrade, the art icons for the various Dyes in-game have been refreshed, making them easier to identify. Each Dye now boasts a unique shape, enhancing the overall user experience.
