New Features on the Horizon
The upcoming update introduces a new map, aptly named Devil’s Hill, which is designed around a monumental hill that will serve as the focal point for gameplay. This innovative landscape will feature regions encircling the hill, creating a dynamic environment for players to explore and conquer. Styczeń has hinted at the possibility of a game mode that places valuable resources atop the hill, encouraging fierce competition among players as they vie for control over these coveted assets. Additionally, this hill is envisioned as both a strategic battleground and an ideal site for castle construction.
Since its launch, Manor Lords has achieved remarkable success, selling over three million copies. Reflecting on this achievement, Slavic Magic shared a personal anecdote from the game’s announcement in 2020. Styczeń recounted a conversation with his girlfriend, who anticipated around 7,000 wishlists for the game. His own optimistic estimate was closer to 14,000, which he believed would be a significant milestone. The reality, however, surpassed all expectations, with the game garnering over 2 million wishlists and capturing the attention of a vast audience.
As Slavic Magic continues to refine and expand Manor Lords, players can look forward to a reworked progression system and enhancements to the castle planner, further enriching the gameplay experience.
