Developer and Publisher Remove Dr Disrespect References from Rogue Company
Developer First Watch Game and publisher Hi-Rez Studios have made the decision to cut all references to Dr Disrespect from their game Rogue Company. This move comes after allegations of inappropriate conversations with a minor surfaced, leading to Dr Disrespect being dropped from Twitch in 2020.
In a statement on the game’s official Twitter account, the developers announced that they have removed all mentions of the streamer from Rogue Company. This includes a premium bundle, a skin, and an Arena map that were themed around Dr Disrespect.
“Hey Rogue Company, we have disabled Dr. Disrespect content previously available in the game,” the developers tweeted. “We will be offering full Rogue Buck refunds to any affected accounts this week.”
Furthermore, the studio that Dr Disrespect co-founded, Midnight Society, has also severed ties with the streamer. YouTube has taken action as well, by stopping monetization of Dr Disrespect’s channel in light of the allegations.
