Services firm Side sets up Sao Paulo studio

Services and codevelopment specialist Side has unveiled a new studio in the vibrant city of São Paulo, Brazil. This latest addition is described by the company as a “state-of-the-art space,” designed to facilitate a significant expansion of its operational workforce in South America, with plans to double its size within the next year.

Strategic Growth in South America

This marks Side’s second studio in São Paulo, following the establishment of its first location in 2024. The company’s aggressive growth strategy is deeply embedded in its corporate ethos. CEO Deborah Kirkham expressed confidence in their trajectory, stating, “When we arrived in São Paulo, it was always our plan to enter the market and grow aggressively—that’s just in our company DNA.” With an impressive 50 percent year-over-year growth, Kirkham noted that Side has not only met but exceeded its ambitious goals, positioning itself as one of the largest full-service gaming services companies on the continent.

Adding to this momentum, Sébastien Bisch, Side’s VP of regional operations for the Americas, emphasized the importance of talent acquisition in their success. “The only way a studio achieves the kind of success we’ve had in the short time we’ve been in São Paulo happens when you recruit hyper motivated and qualified talent,” he remarked. This commitment to talent has already led to plans for leasing an additional floor in their new building, effectively doubling their size once again. Bisch highlighted the favorable conditions for growth, noting, “The clients are here, the talent is here, and the growth for Side is definitely here.”
