Konami Announces Release of Suikoden: Star Leap for iOS and Android
Konami revealed on Monday that the highly anticipated game, Suikoden: Star Leap, will be launching in Japan on August 7. The game will be available for iOS, Android, and PC via Steam, with the Japanese release limited to iOS and Android devices.
The official website for the game describes the storyline, which takes place just east of the Scarlet Moon Empire. The protagonist, the village chief’s son, embarks on a journey with companions to restore peace to the village after a sudden assault changes their fate.
Star Leap’s story will be set before the first game and after Suikoden V, with the main story fully voiced. The theme song “Campanella” was written and performed by Kaho Nakamura, and a manga adaptation by Suikoden III artist Aki Shimizu is set to release on November 5.
In addition, the HD remastered release of Suikoden I&II, titled HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, launched in March 2025 for various platforms. The anime adaptation of Suikoden II is scheduled to debut in October, directed by Yūzō Satō at KONAMI animation.
Konami originally released the Suikoden series for PlayStation in the 1990s, with a total of five main installments and five spinoff games.
