Unconfirmed showcases for 2026:
While several showcases are confirmed for this summer, a few notable events remain unannounced:
- State of Play: Sony typically schedules a State of Play in late May or early June, but no date has been set for this year.
- Nintendo Direct: Nintendo’s participation in June showcases is not guaranteed, as evidenced by last year’s absence. However, they did present showcases in both 2023 and 2024, leaving fans hopeful.
Okay so who’s going to show GTA 6?
With the highly anticipated launch of GTA 6 on the horizon, many speculate that a significant gameplay reveal is imminent during the summer showcases. However, Rockstar Games has a history of surprising fans, as seen last year when they released the second trailer for GTA 6 ahead of the showcase season. While they have yet to follow suit this year, it’s possible that Rockstar may opt for a more discreet approach, potentially announcing a gameplay reveal event shortly after the major showcases conclude.
