The inquiry into Calabrese’s online activities uncovered a disturbing collection of images and videos that had been uploaded and shared via the Kik platform. On February 13, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad executed a court-authorized search warrant at Calabrese’s residence.
During the search, forensic experts conducted a thorough examination of the electronic devices found in the home. This examination confirmed the presence of the Kik Messenger app on Calabrese’s device, providing crucial evidence for the case.
Calabrese was taken into custody without incident and subsequently transported to the Berkeley Township Police Headquarters. He faces serious charges, including possession of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child pornography. Following his arrest, he was moved to the Ocean County Jail, where he remains in custody pending a detention hearing.
