Google has recently enhanced its Find Hub application with a new feature that aims to assist users in keeping track of their belongings. This addition, known as the “Remembered” tab, is part of the September Android Drop and is designed to help users note the locations of items that do not have digital tracking capabilities.
New Features in Find Hub
The “Remembered” tab will now sit alongside the existing options—Devices and People—at the bottom of the app interface. This new feature is represented by a bookmark icon adorned with a Gemini spark, symbolizing the integration of Google’s AI capabilities into the tracking process.
With the help of AI, users can easily log the whereabouts of any object, even those that are not connected devices. The app includes a floating action button (FAB) that provides a shortcut labeled “Ask Gemini,” facilitating a seamless experience for users who prefer to utilize AI assistance. For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, manual entry into the Remembered tab is also an option.
To manually add an item, users will first need to provide a “Name” and specify a “Storage spot.” Once these initial steps are completed, they can enrich the entry with additional details, such as photographs, specific location information, and personalized notes, enhancing the overall utility of the feature.
As reported by 9to5Google, this update is included in version 3.1.732-02 of the Find Hub app. While the update is accessible via the Google Play Store, it appears that the new feature is still in the process of rolling out and may not yet be available to all users.
