The Google app is undergoing a significant transformation in its voice search feature, bringing a fresh and modernized interface that reflects the aesthetics of Search Live. This update marks a departure from the long-standing design, which has remained largely unchanged for years, characterized by a simple four-dot waveform in the iconic Google colors.

Revamped User Experience

Upon tapping the microphone icon located at the top of the Google app, users will now be greeted with a redesigned interface. The centerpiece of this new look is the prominently displayed ‘G’ logo, accompanied by an inviting “What’s on your mind?” prompt that transitions smoothly into a transcript of the spoken query. The previous compact waveform has evolved into a dynamic arc that vibrates in response to the user’s voice, enhancing the interactive experience.

Additionally, a new shortcut labeled “Search a song” has been introduced at the bottom of the interface, replacing the globe animation with a bold “Play Sing Hum” option. This change not only modernizes the look but also streamlines the user’s ability to engage with the feature.

In terms of auditory feedback, Google has refreshed the sound cues that indicate when the microphone is active or has timed out, aligning them with the sounds used in AI Mode. This attention to detail further enhances the overall user experience.

While the redesign promises to elevate the quality of voice search, it is important to note that this update is not yet widely available on Android devices. As Google continues to roll out this new interface, users can anticipate a more engaging and visually appealing way to interact with voice search.
