With the summer season upon us, Google is rolling out a significant update for Android users: parental controls are now accessible across all Android devices. Originally introduced on the Pixel in late 2025, these features are now available to any device running Android 17.
Enhanced Parental Controls
The new parental controls empower parents to manage their children’s screen time effectively. Key functionalities include:

- Establishing a downtime schedule that restricts device access during nighttime.
- Filtering content for Google Play downloads.
In addition to these features, parents can also block specific applications or impose time restrictions on their usage. Notably, any adjustments to these settings require a PIN, ensuring that only authorized users can make changes.
