Google is integrating Nano Banana right into its app’s search bar

In a notable advancement for users of the Google app, the integration of an image generation feature powered by Nano Banana is on the horizon. This capability allows users to create images directly from the search bar, enhancing the overall experience within the app.

How It Works

To access this innovative feature, users will simply tap on the search bar within the Google app. A plus icon will appear on the left side, inviting users to explore further. By selecting “Create images,” users can enter their desired prompts, hit send, and await the generated results.

This functionality mirrors the image generation feature recently introduced in Chrome Canary for Android, but with the added convenience of being available directly in the Google app. This seamless integration reflects Google’s commitment to enhancing user interaction through AI-driven tools.

Earlier this month, an APK teardown indicated that Google was testing this feature, although it was not yet operational. However, the latest findings confirm that the feature is now live in the Google app version 16.47.49.ve.arm64, showcasing Google’s ongoing efforts to innovate and expand its AI capabilities.

While APK teardowns serve as a valuable tool for predicting future features based on preliminary code, it’s important to note that not all predicted functionalities may reach public release. As such, users eagerly anticipate the official rollout of this exciting new feature.
